My arduino code, images and tests

turns out i cant upload the code files as arduino files so il upload them in basic text edit format so you can copy and paste them into your arduino program.

brightness level code ( when the button is pressed the led will increase in brightness, this also includes the bounce function to make the button presses smooth)

Arduino tests

My arduino kit has arrived and i’ve started trying out different circuits and tests.

This is all very confusing so thankfully i’ve found a youtube tutorial channel to help me

http://www.youtube.com/course?list=ECA567CE235D39FA84 heres the link to a playlist of all the video tutorials by sciguy14

ive so far watched the first two videos and built the circuits in them, i’ve also written the code myself following his instructions. i’ve added notes to the code as well for my reference but if anyone finds them useful i’ve uploaded them here with a read me file to say where the tutorial is and pictures to show the circuit.

Here are my circuits so far

Prototype 2 update

Theres now videos up of my prototype below. It shows it working pretty well and im very happy with how this prototype turned out. This is the version i will be displaying on March 1st 2013. I’ve ordered my own Arduino Kit now and i plan to continue this project and develop towards a final version. The final version will have bigger buttons on the actual unit, it will be made of plastic, as will the character ( which wont be Pacman) and the obstacles will be changed as well. it will have a completely different and hopefully 3D background. I will also make the backgrounds interchangeable so more than one level can be used. I also hope to change the overall size of the piece as at the moment its too big to store easily. If possible id make it collapsable so it would be easier to move around. I also plan to change the character servo to a different component, i dont know what i can use yet as im still new to this but i hope to find something in the future as this will add more range to the movement. My next prototype i hope to make out of wood and to lazer cut each of the characters, hopefully it will be more refined and less buggy than this version. However im happy with the product, especially with 2 days of development time.

I will add to this blog any experiments i make with my own Arduino board and i still have the shell and structure of this prototype so hopefully i can continue to improve it .
